I remember I used to have New Year's Resolution every now and then, but this time its a bit different, I have this realization, you, making a plan for yourself will not work if deep inside, you don't have a clear reason why you are doing it. As one writer puts it, your must have a deeper 'WHY?' if you have it then the HOW will follow. True enough, it makes a good sense and a fruitful change in my lifestyle. Perhaps, you are communicating with you inner self, its what your soul really wants -- as what they say, talk to the Child in You, and you will be amazed.

When You feel Inadequate, Remember you are Good Enough

Nothing is constant and due to inconsistency of things, there are times that we feel we are not at our better self. but one thing though, you will be given chances on becoming who you wanted to become. And it boils down to challenging yourself in a good way. Its more like of enjoying the challenge.

I am living this now, it was said that an individual person needs at least 4 times a day for survival, perhaps a couple of hugs more to be happy. but one thing I know, I am thankful to receive hugs when I need it.

Be Happy, Beat the Worry

How about loosening up and just enjoy every moment of being alive? How about not giving in to worries but instead embrace the beauty of every challenge and every circumstances? Afterall, nothing stays the same forever right? So quit worrying and just live.

Stop worrying about what people think of you, keep this in mind: your business is not theirs as their business is not yours. So how people see you or think about you is none of your business, but it’s your business not to care about what they have to say. .. duh, you know yourself better than anyone else. 

Here are some simple tips you can do, to keep you from worrying too much:

Have some Green Tea

Feeling a bit down? Have some Green Tea. Instead of coffee its good to drink green tea at least twice a week to rejuvenate and feel relaxed. Compared to Coffee? Green Tea is much better as it is rich in flavonoids.

According to Douglas Balentine, Director of Nutrition Sciences in North America, in his presentation during the annual American Dietetic Association's Food and Nurtition Conference and Expo in 2005, while he discuss the benefits of flavonoids to our health, he said that "Several studies have found that drinking tea may be good for the heart due to power of flavonoid antioxidants which is found in tea" he also added that "drinking a cup of tea a day - hot or cold, black or green will nearly double their current intake of flavoinoid."

Sometimes, I am really crazy; I do things in an impulse. One moment I am okay with things and the next thing you know I just turned the entire house around. But it doesn’t really happen much often. It only happens when I seem to want to change things.

And so today, that spontaneous moment hit me once again, and I basically changed everything about my old blog and reinvent it into something new. I got tired of “red” the color, the notion, etc. I suddenly wanted to try a whole new environment.

Book Club: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

Thinking of a book club? I am. Currently organizing a book club, and Inviting close friends and colleagues for a start, it’s pretty cool way to keep the adrenaline rush I guess, keeping that juice flowing. I was looking for books to create interesting thoughts among ourselves. And since I always admire Jane Austen’s style in writing, I decided to start with her book: Pride and Prejudice. Perhaps, it was transformed into a television drama and eventually a movie, because of its very interesting story in which I look forward to be discussing with my friends.

Friendship Beyond Years and Distance

Today, I am feeling grateful to people have put up with me through the years. I just woke up today and decided that I want to write my heart out. LOL. Well I can’t believe how friends have actually stayed with me through all these years, despite the distance, and time constraints true friends are always who they are even after some time. People may change but your relationship with them stays, at least for some people who have seen the best and worst of me and yet still there for me. Thank you for being that friend I have always remembered you to be, despite the changes in our paths and environment, you chose to stay the same for me.

Real Diet Tips to Get Fit

Since I am so serious about losing weight, i read about possible writeups that could help me lose weight and I háve discerned an information that I SHOULD NOT SKIP MEALS. yes it's okay to eat but just a little portion of everything. I guess that's the technique there don't deprive yourself of eating food you love but never eat more than you are required if you really want to lose weight.

And what's more? Eating 5-6 meals a day is encouraged than the regular 3-big-meals! This really surprised me but it's actually true.  It was said that eating 6-small-meals actually helps increase your metabolism as it burn 30% of your calorie intake everytime we eat. However, keep away from sugar most often as it is more likely to increase weight

Furthermore, when eating, take time to chew your food so that it's easy for your body to burn fats.

And lastly, go for water and fresh fruit juices instead of juices with artificial flavoring and soft drinks, as artificial sweets can make you gain weight. Additonally eating freash fruits and vegetables Is a good alternative for snacks.

And of course if you are really serious like me to really lose weight and really get slim, this could be a good start. But of course never forget to accompany this diet tips with exercise to get a slim and firm body. Brisk walking can be a great start :)

Talking about starting over, definitely this is the best time to create a new path and continue the journey of life.

For the year it was… it was a year of building up a great faith in people despite the difficulties, a great year of sharing what life has to offer. A year of growth and realizations about the importance of people around us who have made us strong despite all the odds in our lives.

For this year, it is meant to give thanks for another year of being alive, for another chance to be better, for another opportunity to experience another challenges that lies ahead of us, and another chance to embrace what life is to offer and get on with it as long as we can.

And to all of us… May we be able to find our purpose, peace, joy and love as we journey on to a new chapter of our lives… Best wishes for 2010 friends :)

Hello guys.... I know its been a while but hey, I'm back with all smiles everyone. And so I'm saying... there are times that we fee gloomy right? I hate being gloomy coz it makes me feel old and grumpy... so as I said, if you have that chance where you can enjoy the moment and be happy grab it. Even how little is that time where you have to smile and dreamy. Because you know what? its when you had that little moment of happiness makes the moment so special and worth remembering :)

Well I'm not saying you hang on there in fantasy and not take reality at all. You can have that happiness without having to elope from you reality. How? Its called, trying different things once in a while, doing something different in a day that you rarely do or not do at all.

lets see... Today? Show some lovin' by pampering yourself.... lets see... how about a long shower? in that way you would feel relaxed, refreshed and ready to face the world! And seriously say... you would feel good about yourself that it attracts people and positive energies.

Overwhelmingly Good

Things happen when you least expect it. Another cliché, but what the heck, experience tells us that it is absolutely true. Sometimes, the good things that happen to us are sometimes beyond what we have expected or even hoped for, and we wonder how amazing God is, for showering us such a wonderful grace.

Remembering that feeling so overwhelming when something good pass our way, when we are blessed with so much abundance that you sometimes wonder how amazing can life get, and in such amazing blessing, we are more inspired to work hard to retain that feeling of enthusiasm… that excitement. But there are moments when we finally found ourselves working our ass off, we tend to lose that feeling when everything seemed to be so brand new turns to be just the ordinary things we live day by day, we lose the momentum. And we become tired and bored with the situation, well perhaps it was because we are already used to the situation, that everything seemed ordinary, which only meant we are now at our comfort zone, and once we do, it’s about time we change pace, or perhaps take a step higher, find something that will bring back that feeling of wanting to be better, take on another challenge.

I love my life

I’m back to my own shelter, after a day and a half of adventure, I am back to the comfort of my bed. I know I should be sleeping by now but seems that I just feel the need to write about anything. And I guess it’s better not to sleep just yet, because when I die? I have a lot of sleeping to do, and not worry about waking up. I am alive, and I have to make something out of life before heading on to that never ending moment of sleep.

How does it feel to be alive? I say it’s this moment, this moment when I am doing something. This moment when I am building myself, this moment when I am creating something good, this is what it takes to be alive… finding and creating something good… something great.

I’ve been passive for a while, and I think that moment of mediocrity is way down in my trash bin, I’m back to the game of life. I have what it takes to become better, some may think I’m not cut out for anything, but the hell with those people, I’m gonna make good and I’m gonna do good.

Okay, seems like I’m ranting now. But I don’t care, I have this moment now, and I’m making use of it… and perhaps the best time to say something to people who seem to think they actually know you, when what? They weren’t there to see you work your ass off to be a good person, they weren’t there to see you grow up. I’m sorry but screw these people. I won’t let you get into me and ruin what I have built, i’m gonna do this, I’m gonna live my life.

And thank you. Thank you for what was said; it makes me want to continue to be better. It makes me want to go on and be better. THANK YOU.

Now, I feel better. Good.

Cleaning Out My Closet

I just cleaned my closet today... taking away things that are no longer needed.... so I put away all the old clothes that are no longer in use and place it in the basket. I planned to give it away... Nothing really special, I just feel that its about time I let go of the things I have outworn.

I decided to put it all in the basket along with other stuff... I wish to give it away. And just as I am cleaning my room and my closet... I am also throwing old bad memories... something that is just so hard to let go... but this time, I am taking things seriously. Hmmm... its a whole new way to start life again I guess... :)

All these old stuff... I'm thinking of giving it to people who needs it most... As I was packing... my heart is filled with so much hope... that things would eventually fall to its place after this. I wanna feel better... I wanna be the better me, if not the best. And I intend to correct my life this time :)

After a series of commercial shoot for different establishments, we finally launched the commercial last April 16, 2008 at Eagle’s Bar at Marco Polo Hotel, and Media People, advertisers and entrepreneurs were present to witness the event.

I was really so proud because it was my first time to direct a commercial, and I finally made it happen. Would you believe it? Can’t believe it either (lol)

The Ultimate Davao Getaway Guide Commercial were shown in all airports in Mindanao such as Davao, Cagayan, General Santos, Zamboanga, and more. It will also be shown on local cable networks in Davao, Channel 63 and Channle 28. Watch out for it. (All smiles).

Do Not Lose Heart

When I experience trouble in my life... and I feel like losing my grip on situation... I would read this verse from the bible... and reflect on it.. from there, I am reminded that I am well taken cared of by the heavenly Father... :)

So if you feel downcasted because of the unfavorable scenario in your life... read the Bible... you would definitely find God talking to you... you want best advice? you can find it there... Encouraging words? still, you can find it there... even good stories... :)
